Most of you should be aware that we have 32 teeth in total. These are been classified into sets of Incisor, canine, premolar and molar. Out of these, there are 4 molar teeth that are called wisdom teeth. These are located on the extreme ends of every side.

If you observe yourself carefully, then you would understand that there is nothing much of a role of these teeth as such. Wisdom tooth comes out late at an age of around 18 to 30 years. At times some people never get these teeth at all. It is said that they only come in those people who acquired wisdom!

Although there is no concrete evidence of this fact, yet medical experts and oral surgeons have stated that there is no real purpose for them as such. They are not used to cut or chew of or any other reason. They are just there and at a certain state of time or the other they start to trouble you. They can a developer cavity or can get decayed. All these things are going to trouble you for no reason. Therefore most of the dentists advise it to get removed.

Now the decision of removal is up to you. If you think they are fine and not giving you any trouble, there is no reason why you should get them removed. However, if they are troubling you in one way or the other and you are facing it every now and then, it would be an option for you to get them removed. As stated above, they do not only serve any practical purpose and their removal will not harm you are such. However, you will have to bear the normal consequences of teeth removal that you have to face in general and you have to also bear the cost of expenses.
